  1. Superintelligence, uncanny ability to foretell, prophesize, and predict an outcome. Great diagnostic abilities for a physician/healer. The ability to heal. Wow.

I have met a few people who are gifted. I did not think they were "abnormal", they were a notchhigher than everybody else who were "normal"

  2. normal is a setting on a washing machine.

  3. unfourtunatly, due to the values that are in the world there is a broad spectrum of behaviour that to certain generations may seem offensive.

just think in the 70s the exorcist, and strawdogs were band!

but now you can buy them in tesco.peoples attitudes change, and there behaviour does too

  4. Upsetting others

  5. I am a CMA and I have seen it all.

If you are talking like Paranoid Schizophrenics, OCD's,

    Autistics,  etc.. than

IMO, Nothing, There is no such thing as abnormal.. No one is perfect and no one is normal. One of my daughters is School Phobic and my other daughter is Mildly Autistic.. Abnormal behavior is those that do not accept others for who they are.. Autistics have a great gift and can contribute so much to their community if given the chance.

  6. I have been to the psych ward a few times.

It is not difficult to find examples at places like these.

Basically even irrational normal people can be cohernt if not logically sound.

But a when you encounter some one that is too sane or not sane enough they become incoherent.

  7. First one must define what "abnormal" is. how far outside the "Norm" do we go before drawing the line in the sand? Is it defined as mental abnormalities. Or just extremism's. Like Fascism or Dictatorship's to the perverted version of Communism Stalin installed? Are we talking about the People who Torture other people or amimals for their own pleasure and enjoyment? There are too many veribles here to give truly acturate answer. This is Philosophy.

  8. i once got winked at by an old man in a theme park. that worried me...

  9. happiness when grandma my died, new she was gonna be okay and in a better place.

  10. none

  11. If a human behaves in any way it must be regarded as normal to humans. Flying, or collecting nectar and producing honey would be abnormal. I think you mean unacceptable.

  12. murdering kids and adults and old people! and raping women! I can't stand all the stuff on the news nowadays

  13. Speaking with food in your mouth

  14. don't f**t if there's a council officer about, they book

you for everything else and make up their own laws,  I wonder if they are watching me type this

  15. The older I get the less I believe in normal.  As a statistician, people put way to much emphasis on the average - it doesn't mean anything (pardon the pun) - only the distribution matters and I'm here to tell you it's wiiiiiide distribution!

  16. Criteria for psychological disorders

Although psychological disorders vary a great deal in terms of presentation and degree of severity, there are certain generally accepted criteria for determining the presence  of a psychological disorder. The criteria are abnomality, maladaptiveness and personal ditress.

    The Criterion of abnormality

Behaviour is defined as abnormal when different from what we consider  to be normal behaviour of the typical person. This is called the norm.If we look at the latin derivation of the word abnormal,ab means 'away', and therefore 'abnormal' means 'away' from 'normal'. We all know what is generally considered to be normal behaviour in society, but it is sometimes difficult to decide what is abnormal. Ab normal behaviour may be expressed in inaccurate ways of thinking (for example, ways of seeing the world and interpreting events in it),emotional instability, difficulties in interpersonal behaviour and poor impulse control. Behaviour is generally regarded as abnormal when it deviates from culturally accepted standards. for example, it is normal to wash your hands about three times a day, but if someone washes his or her hands thirty times a day, this would probably be regarded as abnormal. However, if the person who washes his or her hands thirty times a day is a doctor who frequently has to wash his or her hands while working with patients, the behaviour no longer seems abnormal. We have to look at the context in which the behaviour occurs before we can decide whether the behaviour is abnormal and symptomatic of a psychological disorder. For example, wild shrieking would not be appropriate  behaviour in a umiversity library, but it may be appropriate at a rugby match. This is why abnormality is not the only criterion we use to decide on the presence of a psychological dis order.

(I know I didnt answer your question but maybe it will be intresting for you)

  17. If you mean unacceptable, I would consider having active s*x with a child or else with an adult person of the same gender as yourself fits the description most strongly

  18. It always puzzles me when a murderer, or his lawyer claims to that 'the balance of his mind was disturbed' at the time of the act.

I can't help thinking that anyone who commits murder has not really thought the act through.

  19. Yeah, top marks for the idiot who lumped homosexuals in with pedophiles. Shame on you, ignorant clot.

Human behaviour has immense diversity, simply because we can think outside of the 'box' of stay alive/copulate that virtually every other animal has to focus on completely.

Things for me that go out of the range of 'normal' are self-destructive actions such as eating disorders, suicidal tendancies and self-harm. What possible useful purpose do they serve?

  20. Happiness

  21. watching big brother.....

gotta be abnormal behaviour hasnt it, I mean, when you actually sit and think about it?
