What in your opinion is the best way to drive past a great defender?

I got a friend named yoshi and I'm short for my age so he's four inches taller but I'm quicker and have a better jumper and he has great defence what move can I get pass him with.

you pretty much have two options if you aren't the best stick-handler

1) dump and chase. Shoot the puck past him and try to beat him and everyone else to it.

2) when you are going 1 on 1 with him, pull the puck back and shoot through his legs. This will use the defender as a screen and might catch the goalie by surprise. I have score many goals like this in my day. It also has the chance to give up good rebounds.
