  1. Locked away for the rest of his natural life.Prison if he's bad, asylum if he's mad.Pretty sure it's the latter.

  2. Despite the horrific nature of this crime he should be given a fair trial and sentenced. I sense a problem here. He appears to be deranged. So he may never be tried in court.

  3. He clearly needs a hug.

  4. Underwater prison.

That means in a cage underwater with no air tank or anything.

  5. This guy is probably mentally ill, in which case the murder was as much a failure of the mental health care system in Canada as anything else.

No matter what happens to him, I am sure he will never see freedom again and will never have the opportunity to attack another person.

I don't see what your "solution" would achieve unless you enjoy stabbing people for the fun of it. Canada is a civilised country with a very low murder rate and no death penalty. You can go back in time to medieval Europe if you like the idea of that sort of punishment, except you were a lot MORE likely to be murdered back then than now.

  6. If found guilty I believe he should be sentenced to life in prison without any possiblility of parole.  There's a possibility he could be legally insane.  If that is proven he should be placed in a maximum security psychiatric institution but should never be set free.  As a society we don't shove people in cages and starve them and stab them.  That would be sinking to their level.  But this person can never be trusted to be free in society again.

  7. Well, I certainly think he should never see the light of day as a free man, but I really can't go along with your recommendation. Does Canada even have a death penalty?
