What income class do you feel your in?

What class; poverty, middle,upper, do you feel you fall into and what was your yearly income to back your statement. I want to see the difference between us and the governments view of income class.

I'm definitely poverty, my husband and I make 40,000 a year if were lucky. Though I have had a few people tell me the government considers them poverty when they thought they were middle....

Middle to upper.... my dad makes about $75,000 maybe. I consider anything over $100,000 "rich".

My husband and I combined about 75K a year. We live in So. California where it is really expensive. I would say we are low middle here

I would say my husband and I are probably middle class. Our salaries combined is of 168K plus own an investment property that boasts another 28,800 rent. BUT, we live in NYC...extremely expensive city.
