  1. ADH (anti diuretic hormone)(vasopressin) - produced in the hypothalamus and released into the bloodstream from the posterior lobe of the pituitary. ADH causes the distal convoluted tubule and collecting ducts to become more permeable to water which leaves the nephron and is reabsorbed into the blood capillaries.
