What ind of graphics card would i need to be as good as the ps3 and xbox360?

If i bought a graphics card for about £50-£60 would that be good enough?

the cards in these consoles are what other people have said, however, they perform much better than they would in a pc which just goes to show how much power is wasted! to get the same kinda performance from a pc you wont just need a graphics card, you'll need a high end overall system too, and a £60 card certainly wont be up to the job. the new GTX 260/280 and the ati 4870 are capable of giving better than ps3 graphics (look at crysis) but you'll need to spend £200 on one plus the rest of the pc if its not up to scratch.

The PS3 GPU is slightly less powerful than a 7800

The 8600 card would be near the equivilant, but I would recomend a 8800GTS 320 MB over it.

ps3 graphics card is equvalent 2 a 7900GTX, u mite have heard of an 8600gt, the 7900GTX is a bit more powerful than a 8600gt. 8800GT on the other hands kills the competition and has enough left over 2 bake a DAYUM CAKE!!!! get a 8800gt

what kind of card is it just because its pricy doesnt mean its good. besides you cant really make it that good just buy a 360

Are you serious? You will need to spend around £500 to get the graphics on the pc as good as the 360 and ps3.You will need a dual core pc to play next gen games which are way more expensive than consoles,this is why consoles are value for money,they are specificaly designed for gaming and media nothing else
