We recently put in ceramic tile and did not seal it. Now the grout looks dingy. What would be a good product to buy. What is something I DON'T want to use?? Thanks!!

  1. sham wow

  2. Fling  a packet of washing powder at the wall and use a floor buffing machine on it.

  3. Tile and Grout Cleanser

Combine 2 parts baking soda, 1 part borax, and 1 part hot water, add-

ing additional water as necessary to form a thick paste.  Apply to the

tile and grout and scrub with a soft brush. Rinse well.

  4. right before we moved, my mom hired someone to powerwash our white tile grout all through a heavy traffic area.

it worked wonders and she wished she'd thought of it before we were just moving out lol.

  5. I would buy a commercial strength product. Truth is you will probably spend more on trying cheap items before it works. Do it right the first time.

  6. bleach, then seal.  however pale colored grout will always be a challenge.  you can tint it to same color as the tiles or darker and not have to keep it white.

  7. 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water.Let set for 5 minutes or so. Use a nylon scrub brush, NOT A METAL ONE !!. This should work, however do not use this often, vinegar is acidic and if used often will eventually break down your grout.
