  1. Everything that will be recycled by your local authority, otherwise it will be left behind, check your leaflets or web site

  2. Don't use so much (reduce), use again anything that you use (reuse), and don't recycle.  Few things are as dangerous for the environment as recycling.

Most people don't know, but so many chemicals are pumped into the air and into the ground (where it seeps to water) during the process that recycling basically cancels out any good it does; and often its bad effects overpower any good effects it might have.

But if you limit your use of things, and reuse anything that you do use, you won't need to recycle.

  3. lemme xplain this in brief.....as all-ready so many ppl (2) hav answered this.....

reduce-----means stop buyin things that u already have.....reduce

all the material that u dnt need....sell it.....

reuse------means use the things that have already been used...like  a broked coffee cup can b used as a pen stand....a buket can b used to plant trees...papers can b reused...and so on

recycle---means to always use the thing that u hav....like recylce poly bags that u already hav.....as polly bags r non-degreadable so they cannot be burnt.....nor could b destroyed.....u hav to recycle it again n again....so can government do wid the water commin out of factories....purify it n use it again.......

  4. Reduce: Stop buying things without thinking of their impact on the environment. Look at the packaging and find products that have less packaging or packaging that can be reused or recycled. I just bought a washable shower liner. Instead of buying plastic and throwing it away when it gets too filmy, I'll just throw this one in the washing machine.

Reuse: Find inventive ways of reusing products you would normally throw away or give them away to someone else who will use them. Take your old clothes to Goodwill...but "new" clothes at Goodwill (thrift-store).

Recycle: recycling can be done at home by re-purposing something you'd normally throw away. Then there is the traditional recycling - you either have recyclable products picked up or you take them to a center.

  5. Lets see.

Reusing and reducing are probably the best two. Even though we focus a lot on recycling, and it's definitely better than nothing, if everyone starts reducing their impact and reusing things the best they can, then there won't be so much to recycle.

Most conventional products aren't recycled, but recycled products are making their way into the mainstream. Starbucks, for example, doesn't use ALL recycled materials for their cups, but they use a lot, and it's a start.

Basically, our landfills are being filled way too fast. Not only does stuff not decompose when it's rotting away, but all that waste effects our water, air etc.

I recommend you check out the link below. It's pretty official, from the Environmental Protection Agency. Also, look into info on landfills, that will give you a very compelling argument for implementing the 3 R's (if that's what you're looking for).
