What information should be on a 1 year old's birthday invitation?

If you're sending it to kids that are in your child's daycare/playgroup, make sure you specify if parents are invited as well (some see this as free babysitting, lol)

Otherwise, just the usual: date, time, place, your contact info, etc.

EDIT:  It is rude to put on an invitation something you may need for the child, as one poster wrote below.  In doing that, you are hinting at the presumption that everyone will bring the child a gift.  While most people probably will, expecting a gift is not proper etiquette.

same as above. but i dont think a 1 year old needs a birthday party, why not just celebrate with parents and grandparents? that would save money.

First of all, the regulars. Date, time, place. You should put what size clothes and diapers your baby is wearing. If your little one is fascinated with Elmo it is perfectly acceptable to put that on there too. If he/she is scared of something, maybe Big Bird, make sure to put that. I have had 2 first birthdays so far and one more coming up in less than a month, I have found that the more info you include is best. It helps people know what to get. If you need something for him/her you can mention that as well. Good luck and congrats on making it through the 1st year!!!
