  1. you mean mascara for the eyelashes?

polymer film-formers will do, but there could also be other ingredients that can make mascaras water-proof.

Bat p**p? cosmetic raw materials and formulations are being evaluated. i dont think that's possible.

  2. Water resistant mascaras have a composition based on a volatile solvent (isododecane - an isomer of dodecane), animal-derived waxes (beeswax), vegetal based waxes (carnauba wax, rice bran wax, candelila wax), mineral origin wax (ozokerite, paraffin), pigments (iron oxide, ultramarine) and filmifying polymers. These mascaras offer an excellent resistance to tears, sweat or rain. As a result, these mascaras can only be removed with a specific make-up remover, able to dilute the dried mascara film.

Bat guano (p**p) itself is not used, but a compound derived from guano (guanine) is used to add an irridescent finish  to some cosmetics.

Here is an excerpt from the web:

Pearl is the original iridescent additive that customizes a finish. The base product comes from the interior lining of seashells (Mother of Pearl) or Guanine crystal, the derivative of sea bird and bat guano. When added to a translucent paint material, it alters the light ray within the film and bends or refracts the ray, giving off a secondary color. This action provides a completely new dimension of color--a refractive effect.

    Hope this helps!
