What ingredients do they use to make plain rice at a Chinese restaurant?

  1. they pretty much just buy rice from stores. It is probably gonna have starch in it so i dont know how that will affect your detox but if you want you could probably go to any walmart or grocery store and buy instant white rice.


  2. Never hhaving been a cook in a Chinese take-away or restaurant, I'm just guessing here.

    I think they short grained rice and wash it well before cooking it.

    It is cooked in a steamer, which makes the rice tasty, and a bit different than how we generally prepare it at home.

    My guess is they only use water, rice and a bit of salt.

  3. As the others have said, just add water to rice. But if you want something different, use chicken stock, and serve with boiled chicken.

  4. There is no ingredient that goes in the rice. You have go to an asian market and buy the rice. There are many brands just pick up any jasmine go home wash it until the water is close to clear then steam it.

  5. Just washed and placed into a rice cooker w/th clean water. voila.

  7. water and rice. Jasmine rice tastes the best. Get a rice cooker, if you don't know how to make rice from a pot, rice cookers are the easiest to make rice with. just put equal amounts of rice and water, and press the button.
