  1. The main effect of the Allergen Reducer is to keep down dust and other microscopic matter.

    If you ever let some of the regular Febreze Fabric Refresher dry on a surface, you would see a visible film form.  The film is due to an ingredient, cyclodextrin; I believe it is a corn derivative.  This film, sprayed over a large surface, becomes too thin to see, but is enough to make a significant difference in the amount of dust that can get kicked up.  It probably isn't sticky enough for you to feel it, but on a microscopic scale, it's enough to keep down dust.
