  1. In my 16 years of playing and coaching the injury that I have seen the most are ankle sprains.  Other honorable mentions would include: jammed or dislocated fingers, joint inflammation in shoulders and knees, and a few knee injuries ACL or MCL tears.  Hope this helps....

I just want to say that, yes, ankles are very common, I myself sprained mine last August, but please do not wear any ankle brace or support unless you have suffered an injury and a trainer or doctor has instructed you to.  When you wear them, your ankles become flimsy and not as strong, which actually make you more prone to ankle injury.

  6. i HAVE PLAYED VOLLEYBALL FOR ONLY 4 YEARS BUT THE MOST COMMON ONES I EXPERIENCE IS SPRAINED ANKLE AND ALOT OF THE TIME JAMMED FINGERS!!

  7. for me i got lots of shin splits . u may also get sprained ankles or if u forget to put ur knee pads on and slide for the ball then u will get scrapes on ur knees>

  8. Shin splints, jammed fingers, knees popped out of socket. I've had all these done to me at one time or another. Both of my ring ringers have been jammed three times each. (setting).

  13. Elbow injuries, nose, knees, toe, finger's injuries are common in volleyball. I'm sure because I've experienced all these while playing. I was a national volleyball player.

  14. ankle sprains, torn ligaments, knee sprains (ACL and MCL), allllot of jammed fingers, broken fingers, sometimes broken wrists from setting, alllot of bruising of the hips with the new barrel roll, sometimes you may have shin splints, but strecthing can prevent that in alot of cases.

  16. ACL tears! Most common in womens Volleyball. Work out your hip flexers, it will help prevent it.

    I pulled all the tendons n ligaments in my ankle playing HS volleyball.  Several other team members had ankel injuries as well.

    Second most is wrist injuries from diving!
