I'm curious if the Bird's Nest, the Cube, or any other aspects of the Beijing Olympics featured any great new technology either in architecture, lighting, electronic media, or anything else. China seems to have gone all out, so I figure there must be some never-before-seen aspects of these Games.

  1. I like the passport answer!  (you have my vote for best answer!)

I think the huge LED screen on the ground and around the top as the 'runner' ran to light the torch.  Seems the announcers thought it was a 'first'.

  2. I agree mane

  3. An optical illusion: 12 year old gymnasts to look like 16 year old gymnasts.

A very cute little singer at the opening ceremonies that could throw her voice.

Fake fireworks on a screen to look like real fireworks.

Just kidding, they did go all out.

  4. Seriously is the passport thing true, or how do you guys judge it true as you talk about it as it is. If it is by media coverage like NBC, I would say Phelps has doped as I saw a news saying he is doped. He must have doped as America has an excellent track record of doping. Well that is just another angle to confirm he has doped by American mentality.

  5. Phony passports LOL, (just having a little fun)

  6. Well there are some other significant architecture built for the olympics such as the Beijing Captial T3 Airport which is the largest airport in the world and the beijing subway, which became really convenient and "very green".

There are other stadiums like the volleyball stadiums but the bird's nest, water cube and the airport are the main ones built for the olympics.
