What instrument would be better ?

Today I got inspired to start taking lessons on playing an instrument instead of playing basketball this year. I wanted to have a lesser load for after school activities because I wanted to focus more on my grades. I would still play on school sport teams though. I like being busy and I wanted to try something new, so today when I was listening to my favourite paramore - when it rains I was paying more attention to the band and not hayley's singing. Then I got the idea of taking lessons for drums or guitar. I'm a fifteen year old female and I want to know which one would be better ? Drums or Guitar ? Explain pro's and con's if you can.

I am not too much of an "expert" but I prefer guitar. Drums are more so keeping the beat, rather than what I would call composing a song. With guitar I think there is more to do with the instrument. If you are looking into drums the sets maybe more hefty then the price range for a guitar (I have an alvarez acoustic-- $350) but there is more expensive and cheaper models out there to choose from. With guitar you can play either electric, acoustic, or classical. If you like the "hard rock feeling" electric is the way to go. I have a flute and guitar but I absolutely love to play guitar more so then my flute. If your a singer or like to sing then guitar you can sing to where as once again guitar is just banging and clashing to a beat.  I hope this helps!!
