as for the properties, if you have a business, talk to the insurance company that covers the company.  Otherwise, I would suggest the insurance companies for the properties you are plowing for.

A commercial auto policy on your truck will cover property damage should you hit a car or a lamp post while you are plowing. But that is the least of your worries because the real exposure to loss is a slip and fall long after you have left the premises.

Your at home getting some much needed sleep but the lot you plowed has since gotten icy and someone takes a nasty tumble and is hauled away in an ambulance. Who do you think is going to be held responsible for the condition of the parking lot?

So, in addition to a commercial auto policy, you need a general liability that includes completed operations coverage. Don't plow a commercial property without it.

most likely you need a commercial auto policy with a plowing endorsement. It is a bit expensive so dont do it unless you have a bunch of potentials lined up. This is something you should do a little shopping around for also. Good Luck!

you will need a commercial auto policy that covers plowing along with your general liability insurance to cover plowing.  your auto insurance will cover in Case you have an accident.  if you are plowing for money you NEED the commercial policy.  insurance companies will look for any reason to not have to pay a claim.  the general liability insurance will cover any slip and fall issues as well as damage to the property.  most commercial accounts require a minimum of $1,000,000 of liability insurance.
