What interest for america in starting a new war with Iran?is it worth fighting the Iranians just for israel?

-israel made training for its airforce on hitting Iranian targets,in a clear threat to Iran,

-usa made maneuvers in the gulf in another threat massage to Iran.

-Iran tested some very high tech weapons (mid range & long range missiles,very fast torpidos,,,etc),and said that if usa & israel attacked Iran,that Iran will destroy the american fleet in the gulf,and the american bases their,and it will hit israel with its long range missiles(and it can do all that),

and the war will close the main road of worlds oil from the gulf,wich can destroy many of the worlds economies & make the rest suffer badly.

Why usa want to get involved in another stupid illegal war,with a strong nation like Iran, just for the sake of israel?!!!??

didnt usa leaders learn anything from Iraq & afganistan?!

Iran is a very strong nation,it makes its OWN high tech weapons,its in its best shape,and ready well,so the war against such a country will be destructive to all the region & the world.

Iran is not just a threat to Israel; it is a current and continuing threat to the US: American soldiers are being killed by Iranian weapons.  This must stop.

America should not start a war with Iran because more life will be lost and i am sorry 2 tell u this but Israel is not that great and u know America have their own problems like gas and oil and the war in iraq

It will be an even bigger mistake than Afghanistan or Iraq.

The American generals don't want a war with Iran because they know thw realities of the situation.

It's only the gang in the White House who want it but it will be a disaster for the whole world.

I wonder where you are from, thinking that a "strong" country like Iran is even the least bit of a threat to the U.S.  

Israel is our friend, we will always be close to them.  I do believe the Palestinians have rights also , I don't know how to arrange it but there should be a Palestinian state that admits Israel has the right to exist.  

I don't have my PHD so other people have to work out the details.  We will only go after Iran if they attack Israel.  However if some of the intelligence people we have get paranoid, it would be best if nothing makes the American CIA paranoid.

One, it would not be for the Israelis but would be for the Arabs since Iran is recognized by them to be their primary enemy.  Second, unless military funding is double for 20 years, the damage done by the Bush/CLINTON/Bush budgets cannot be reversed and the army is simply too small to occupy Iran.  Third, Iran is mountainous making missile strikes and air power of minimal use.  Fourth, if Congress allows it as was done in Iraq, it is not an illegal war.   Fifth, Jews are only 2% of the US population and have little influence except when elections are very close and then only because they are concentrated in three high electoral votes states.  Their main concern is at preventing discrimination like there is in Europe.  Iran does not have the capability of destroying the US fleet in the gulf - Aegis systems and naval air power prevent this but they could stop oil shipping for a while until their naval militia/coast guard and missile batteries were destroyed.  They couldn't even defeat the Iraqi navy/air force during their war!  Preventing a radical Islamic government from getting nuclear weapons is not a stupid war.  

I think militarily that Iran is a weak third world nation which uses mainly inferior Russian equipment but who is more powerful then any of its neighbors so is bullying them.  While the US could not defeat them due to a very small army, they would be quickly neutralized if it were to come down to war.  However, the mullahs have destroyed Iran's economy, it is dependent on European trade, and European sanctions will cause the mullahs to stop their nuclear quest or they will be deposed by the Iranian people.  War will not happen unless Iran starts it.

It's in our interest to defend our allies, so they will do the same for us.

Also, it's in our interest to defend our own national security from our enemies, like Iran, from attacking us or from the Iranians giving weapons to our other enemies, terrorists, and rogue states to use against us on home soil and in Iraq.

Iran doesn't have half the capacity for war as they try to make out the do. Aren't you aware that those "missile tests" may not even be real at all? Israel and the US alone could take them out, and in the even of a nuclear Iran, it's necessary to.
