If it involves a bone density scan, then there is no injection involved.  If the injection is for a Nuclear Bone Scan, the dye is actually a radioactive tracer or isotope that is injected directly into a vein in your arm or hand.  The injection is done with a small needle and only takes a few seconds.


  2. its done through the lower spine, pain=full and must be  in traction to prvent movement, , maby head aches and a little light headed  for a few hours after the procediure is done..
