  1. extex_cop has it right.  How much square footage 10 cubic yards of mulch (or topsoil, or soil amendment, or whatever it is) will cover in your garden is completely dependent on how thick you plan on spreading it.

    If you're not very comfortable with maths, then you might find this web page helpful:

    http://www.mygardengnome.com/articles/mu...

    It includes a "mulch estimator," which allows you to type in the number of square feet you want to cover, and at what thickness.  It will then tell you how much material you will need, and also advise on whether it would make more sense for you to order by the yard, or just to pick up some of those 3 cu. ft. bags they sell at garden centers and big box stores.

  2. 10 yards what? What kind of area? square?

    I mean..,  Like in a straight line? or like 10 yards long and 3 feet wide?  Or like 10 x 10 yards?   If it's 10 yards square, there's 3 feet in a yard, so that's 30 x 30 feet, which is 90 square feet.

    If it's an area that totals 10 yards.., like 5 yards long and 2 yards wide.., then you'll get a different answer.., it's simple math.., area equal ft x ft.., there's 3 feet in a yard.

  3. I'll assume you are talking about square yards. One yard is three feet, so a square yard is three feet on each side.  To find the area of a square, multiply the length of a side by itself ("square it).  Thus, one square yard is equal to 9 square feet (3X3=9).  to find the number of square feet in 10 square yards, multiply 9 square feet  X 10 = 90 square feet

  4. It all depends on how deep you want it. When they speak of Yards...that is a 3 foot cube...which comes out to 27 square feet of one foot thick.....double  ( 54 ) that if you are only going 6 inches in depth...then double ( 108 ) that if it's only going to be 3 inches deep.

  5. It's as easy as 1- 2 -3 put it into your search bar

    ((((You can't convert yards into square feet without a width to go along with the length.))))

    Some of your answers made an attempt to understand what you wanted but cant give the answer without the entire amount.

    With the only measurement of 10 yards that you have it is equivalent to

    10 Yards = 30 Feet

    Yahoo! Shortcut -

    http://search.yahoo.com/search?

    p=convert+10+yards+to+feet&fr=ush-ans

    10 Yards = 30 Feet

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=con...

    there is no square because there is no width....there is no cubic either because you have no depth.
