  3. Okay, you might not want to know HOW to do it, but the principle is actually very simple to understand.

    When you say 15 per cent, that means that you are dividing 18.5 million into 100 different parts.

    That's 18.5 divided by 100.

    It's a simple division.  So you can clearly see that 18,500,000 divided by 100 is 185,000.

    Now... you have what 1 per cent represents.

    All you need to do is multiply it for the number of percentages that you need, in this case 15.

    So: 185,000 times 15 = 2,775,000

    Instead of just giving you the answer, I thought I should also let you know how to go about it if you ever need it.
