What is 2x,4x,8x,16x,32x in a DVD player ?

when I press fwd or rew key. Is it the frames i.e., fwded or rewinded? What is the scale for measurement, used to forward or rewind a video ?

  1. it means how fast your forwarding or rewinding the movie


  2. DVD player. 2x is two frames per second, and 32x is 32 frames per second. Simple as that. Hope  I helped.
