You should be able to do this in your head. You know 10 percent of $20 is $2, right? So 30 percent would be $6. Just subtract the $6 from the $20.

Or if you really need to do the math, you would just figure out what is 70 percent of $20, so you would multiply $20 times 0.7. Same answer.
