If a lawyer got 35% of the amount given to the client ($2,857,142), How much would the client have left?

Must be a very easy question, but I obviously suck at math. Thank you so much to the correct answers.

  1. Wow....

    Just because you went through so much of a hassle, I'll tell you the answer, eventhough I think it's ridiculous that people try to get others to answer their homework on here, but okay anyway here it is:  999,999.7

    Here is how you find the percentage of a number:  You will need to convert the percentage to a number by moving the deciaml over to the left two times (35%=0.35) then multiply it by the number you want to find the percentage of (2857142).  I was bad at math too but you have to take good notes & study, doing this stuff isn't going to help you get smarter at all.

  2. It would have saved you time if you used a calculator.

  3. firstly, heres the answer: 999999.7

    how you get to this:

    you divide 35 by 100, and that gets to 0.35 then you would multiply that by how much you want to. in this case, its $2,857,142. that equals to 999999.7 theres your answer!

  4. divide it by 100 && tinmes by 35
