What is A King Cobra?

Hi I need some info on the king cobra, I'm writing a report. I need books on the snake and not childrens books, basically adult books.

Please don't give wikipedia, I've been there, they don't list any specific texts on the king cobra only. If you know of any that would be great.

Also if not the king cobra what about books on the easter diamond back rattle snake or reticulated python.

hi if u think my answer is good please vote me for best answer or rate me, this is based on my knowledge for the past 5 years ive been studying snakes.

a king cobra is the largest venomous snake in this world, they can reach lengths of about 5 meters i believe...although they are the longest venemous snake it doesnt not mean they have the strongest venom.  their venom though, is strong enough to kill a man with a single teaspoon.  the venom of a king cobra is a neurotoxic meaning that it attacks ur nerve cells so that it kills off ur ability to move. if u surivive the bite u will most likley be paralyzed for life.  the king cobra is primarly found in asia because its more tropical there.  the king cobra is a ovipary animal meaning that they lay eggs also the cobra wil shed probably once every month when its an adult this means its growing.  snakes never stop growing until the day they die.  the king cobra feeds on mice, rodents, birds, frogs and other reptiles.

I suggest either the library or Amazon.com and looking up king cobra and see what you get. For a report you will need some basic info that the "encyclopedia" type books will give you.
