i understand what a.d.d. is to an extent... but do you think its possible that i have a.d.d?

the reasons i might think its so, is because of these...

i have a hard time focusing. for instance... right before this i was doing work and i started thinking about something else, and i jumped on the internet to ask a question on yahoo, than i thought about something else, and i asked another question, than i thought about something else and i asked another question, and now i'm here aking this question!

and this all happened within probably 10 minuites. haha

i have a really hard time reading also for the same reasons, i start reading and my mind goes somehwere else and i cant focus!

i also am a fan of change in my life,

my hair is a different color almost every month, or every few months.

i always need a new phone, or a new ipod, or a new something. i'm constantly selling something and buying somethign else because i get sick of things too fast.

does this play a part in it?

let me know what you think...

if i have ADD , what can i do for it?

  1. A.D.D. Basically is when you simply can't focus on one thing.

No, I don't think you have it because if you did, while you where halfway through this question, you would have stopped, walked away, and did something completely different, such as going out to eat ice cream.

  2. it's 3 am as im typin and i cant sleep. in the in the day i cant focus and i dream all th time.

i think i have add too is ther anythin u can do about it

  3. Only an MD can diagnose Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).   There is medication out there for it, and your Dr. will have the needed information.

As for your changing hair color, and constantly needing new things, that can stem from insecurity, liking to spend money, whatever.  Not necessarily ADD.  I have ADHD, as does my youngest son.  My oldest son has ADD.  It is genetic, does not skip a generation and is not something you out grow.  The older I have gotten the harder it is for me to concentrate, read, think.  I tire easily with mental tasks.  Some is aging, but I think a lot is also ADHD as it affects your brain.  Hyperactivity can be physical, but I have also noticed mental in that my brain races.  Both of my sons compalined that the meds they were on made them feel like zombies.   See you Dr. and talk with them.

  4. Your inability to focus on what you are suppose to be focusing on could be a sign of ADD/ADHD or depression.

Ask yourself if you have always had trouble focusing on what you need to and/or if you tend to hyper focus on things you enjoy.  Both are signs of ADD/ADHD.

Your asking question after question could also be a sign of ADD/ADHD as those with ADD/ADHD tend to be more curious about how things work and what life is about then other people.  They tend to question the answers they receive more as well; never too easy to accept the first answer.

Your love of change such as your hair color and your love for new technology (i.e. new ipods, new cellphones, better computer, etc.) shows that you are highly motivated to seek better ways which is why those with ADD/ADHD have helped to create new and better ways for all.

The reading is the most definate sign I see that you might have ADD/ADHD or a reading disorder (perhaps both).  If the content of what you are reading is not holding your attention then you might be bored with it so you lose focus.

Do you have a creative side?  Are you more artistic than not?

If this is effecting you in a way that is making life uncomfortable; hard to live with or succeed in things such as school, work, relationships then you probably should get a book about ADD/ADHD, get tested for ADD/ADHD and find out for sure.

  5. hmm yeh im liek you excactly! i was wondering if i had this and i think it is pssible you do to an xtent. some people get it to the point the need medication for it though so if it seems to get worst you could go doctors, but othewise its just kinda a quirky bit of personailty...or thats the way i look att mine lol
