What is AF in reference to pregnancy etc?

ive heard of it but dont know what it is, or what it even stands for!

As in, "Darn it...Aunt Flo stopped by early...looks like my weekend plans just changed."

or

"c**p...Aunt Flo's late this month..hmmm.."

in reference to pregnancy, it can mean Amniotic Fluid.

AF "Aunt Flo" (old fashioned term for periods, when saying "periods" was too rude!)

AF means Aunt Flo (or Aunt Flow) which is slang terminology for beginning your period/menstrual cycle.  Back in my young days we'd often say we were "on the rag".  It's kind of a sister-hood thing, we can tell other women that we are either on our period or nearing it as in, "I'm expecting Aunt Flo on Thursday so I don't think I'll wear my white pants out to dinner on Wednesday."
