What is AVID?? Not to sure what it is??

Well i'm in 8th grade n i got accepted into AVID n IDK what AVID is specifically. I know some students where n that class n now IDK what it means to be there in AVID n what does it help in I heard it helps u get prepared for college but IDK so thankies for the help BTW reasonable answers! ~~Thankies~~

idk what AVID stands for,

but its for students who wants to go to college

they basically prepare you for it.

i believe that they help you with your HW too.

and they show you how to take notes properly.

they call it (cornell notes)

It stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. It helps in the things you need help in at school. It's really cool. You get to go to Knott's.

Im in it to. It really helps. Although it's sometimes hard to stay in.
