I don't know what it is and there was somthing about it on the simpsons and i'm intrigued now! (Is it an American thing, because i'm English, so if it is, then that explains why i don't know what it is!) Thanx

It is basically the most private and security filled property in the world ! it holds every US secret ..maybe weapons etc.

Its is a theory that the US is conspiricing........

People belive that the US is hiding aliens, Mutation, Cloning, UFOs,  extraterrestial things, and other things that cannot be shown to the public.....

It is just a theory but has never been proven.....

Area 51 is a very mysterious Air Force base in Groom Lake, Nevada where people have claimed to see very unusual aircraft (UFO).  Further, if you believe in the alien mythology, the aliens that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico back in the 1947 were taken to this base and either experimented on or attempted to be treated for their injuries.  If you listen to people in the know, this is an Air Force base where some of this countrys and the worlds high tech aircraft have been designed, like the Stealth bomber.  Think about it, if several years ago you saw the Stealth bomber flying overhead, you would probably think it was a UFO too wouldn't you?  If you type Area 51, Groom Lake and UFO into your search engines, you will get thousands of pages of stuff on this place.

its the area right next to Area 50.......and just north of Area 52.

Okay---no seriously........

it refers to a secret military base.......out in the middle of nowhere.........where rumor and innuendo has it, that all manner of super, duper,  tippity-top secret stuff takes place.

Perhaps the most famous and speculated on........was the supposed crash landing of an actual UFO back in Roswell , 1947, where the story goes...........aliens were recovered from the wreck.

In reality.........what more than likely takes place out there, is super secret test flights of experimental military aircraft.

For many years........people reported seeing a "bat wing" shaped craft, swooping over the night skies.

Of course the Military denied it.

We now know it as the Stealth bomber.......and it is no longer secret.....and they fly regularly all over the world now.

Back back when it was being developed and tested...........to be SURE, it was like NO aircraft currently in the sky...........

hence........a "U.F.O."........

which does not mean alien craft with little green men..........

it simply means...........UNIDENTIFIED  flying object.......

as in.............Gee, I don't KNOW what that is, since I have never SEEN one before.

The recent sightings in Texas, will no doubt fit the description of some aircraft that  will  come out and be realeased at some later date.

But right now........."it doesn't exist".

It's a UFO............because it hasn't been IDENTIFIED yet.

It is an EXPERIMENTAL aircraft...............

maybe it works........maybe it don't......and maybe we never see it again.

That's why they are called TESTS.

The Six Million Dollar man,  being a fine example.   Did you know, that was ACTUAL footage of that experimental plane , crashing like that.?

Did you also know, that "plane" turned out to be a failure?

(the crash was obvious)   and did you know.......the REAL pilot.........really did lose an eye and and an arm,  in the crash?    )
