What is Australias political/social role in addressing climate change in the asia pacific region?

If we are going to take climate change GHM seriously, do you think Australia should be encouraging neighboring countries like China, India and Indonesia etc to lower its emissions whilst reducing our own emissions or should that be done after Australia have address their national emissions target?

    australia should lead by example and also NOT try to force our neighbours to do what WE want them to do.

    australia should (regardless of the realities of the science)

    -solar power

    -wind power

    -water tanks on every house

    -improve farming methords

    -electric cars

    etc
