  1. The Biot-Savart Law is a mathematical expression used to find the magnetic field at a point which at a distance away from a current carrier.

    Ampere's Law is more concerned with the space surrounding the current carrier instead of a single point.

    Where ds is the subdivision on the surface and dB is it´s magnetic field density. And r is the radius of the circuit.

    They can both be used to determine the magnetic field on the perimeter of any geometrical form (surrounding the magnetic field´s source), but when it´s on the perimeter of a geometrical shape, especially and circuit!
