Bama is the short form name for the University of Alabama Football Team.  Roll Tide Roll is another well known phrase used by football fans, because the team name is the Crimson Tide, due to the school colors of crimson and white.  Do not confuse this with the other Alabama football team, Auburn Tigers from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.
