  1. Mad!

  2. Oh my God! Don't do it!

    Why Barking?

I moved to East London for uni and lived Barking for a while. It was rough. It is full of nutters, and every sane person I know wants to get away. I have myself moved away, and have since then realised just how bad it was there (living somewehere much nicer and safer now). You'd always be looking over your shoulder.

I'd suggest you stay away from East London altogether if you can. I also lived in West Ham, Cannin Town and Maryland. None were any better.

  3. When I stay at my Aunts she actually locks the house doors when she is going out to hang the washing on the line. Good Luck

  4. Barking is a bit typical of east London, somewhat grey and neglected. However, it is currently undergoing a massive regeneration. It would be a good property investment and will become a great place to live. Work has already started in some areas.

  5. Lets say i lock my car doors as i drive through the area. I guess it is like every area, all places have a nice and bad part.

  6. its not so safe i'm affraid! do not leave anywhere east, the best places to live in would be maida vale, st johns wood, westbourne Grove... but that is well expensive!

  7. You have to be mad, get it, mad, barking.

Ey I`m here till thursday, boom, boom.

  8. a bit mad!

  9. I lived in Barking since 1990

Got home of your own, nice

Got to live in council flat, its a bit rough in the highrises

Enviroment wise, stocked with foreigners now.

Security wise, Gascoigne estate was robbers den many years ago, but safe now.

Commercial wise, bubbling with its street market.

    General view 5/10

  10. I have lived here in Barking all my life... when i was little it was a lovely place to live... but now its horrid, the area has gone down hill since 97, and it is not getting any better.... i would give my right hand to be able to move away so that my babies don't have to grow up in this area....

There are lots better area's in London to live, especially if you plan on having a family

    good luck with everything
