What is Bellas Special Power as a vampire? Breaking dawn Twilight ?

Edward can read minds, Alice can se the future, and dont just say she has a mental sheild cux i have no clue what that is! THANKS!

Baically it is called a ***love shield*** No, seriously, I'm not joking. She is immune to Edward's mind reading and Jane's torture, but while she is a newborn, she can cast that to other people, so if Jane is trying to inflict Edward, she can put a forcefield around him. Also, she doesn't have a strong lust for blood. She is actually better at control than Jasper. So she has 2 powers. AWESOME, RIGHT? lol. =]

She is a shield, which means she can block other Vampire's extra powers out so they don't affect her. In BD, she learned to control it, and to spread it out so it protects other people too. When ther Volturi came, they were suprised at this, and annoyed also. Jane kept trying, but it wasn't affecting anybody who was inside of the shield. When Alec tried his power, which was to wipe out all of their senses, they saw a wave of power float towards them, and go above them, tracing out the invisible shield, looking for a way in.

And I'm not sure if her control as a newborn was a power, because she was the only one who was expecting this and preparing for it, but when they described as newborns being completely out of control, they said they were COMPLETELY out of control.

She is a shield. That is why Edward cannot read her mind and why Jane has no affect on her. She cannot shield everything/ everyone because Renessme can still show her things. She later learns how to extend her shield further from herself so that she can protect others.

She also has the power of extreme self control. When she is turned into a vampire she is not as ravenous as the normal newborn. She can stand being around human blood without going crazy.

She has a mental shield that protects her mind. But she can also push it outward to shield people besides herself. And she can also push the shield completely away from her mind so that Edward could read her mind.

Bella sort of has 2 powers. The first is she has control, like when she first went hunting how she ran the other way. And the second is a sheild.

Okay I'll try to explain it: You know how Edward can't read her mind and how Jane can't torture her, yes well that is what's called a mental sheild because it protects her mind, like a shield protects in battle.

*SPOILER ALERT* Well with pratice she can make it cover others too, so it protects them also. *SPOILER ALERT OVER*

So basicly, they way her "brain has a glitch" protects her from vampires that attack the ming (like Edward). That way they can not get in her head. Oh if you were wondering about how Alice can see her and Jasper can control her emotions, it's because their powers deal with her physical state, not her mental state/mind.

bella's gift is called shielding..............which is what jane can do.

what this means is gifts like edwards---mental powers that are done to your mind, don't effect her unless she takes the shield off her,which is very hard todo and takes a lot of concntration to do.

     physical powers still effect her,though, because the shild only covers her mind.

     bella can shield other people,too,as she did when the volturi came to fight, but never did fight.

well at first they thought her only ability was self control as she was able to control herself from being a vicious new born vampire then they understood that this control was more of a self preservation (in other words a shield against the vampire ferociousness) and ofcourse she was able to shield even before she turned into a vampire by being immune to edwards ability so she also turned it into a power and protect what's around her with her shield by expanding it

Most people think she has two.. But it's not like that. You know how Esme brought her 'ability to love' and Carlisle his 'leadership' skills (earlier books)? That is what Bella's self-control is about. She was like that when she was human, too. But her special power is a shield which disables everyone else's special abilities. She can protect anyone she wants, it's like a coat she can put on anyone she wants, just one she can change the size of. :D

basically she has a shield so powers like janes or edwards cannot work as they have everything to do with the mind, bella can also extend that shield to other people.

and if your wondering how renesme uses her powers on bella its because she has two powers... renesme can break through any shield and tell people what she wants (the exact opposite of bella and edwards powers)

She is a shield.  But purely a mental one.  She is also able to push it away from her to protect others.  Some people may also say that she has two powers, with her second one being that she is able to control her thirst, and is able to reel back any emotions that would have been impossible to do for any other newborn vampire.  But alas, that is not the case.  The fact that shee is able to control her thirst and emotions is not a power in her case, but as Carlisle stated later in the book, she is the only one who chose that way of life; the only one who had the ability to think about her descision before actually becoming immortalized.  In fact, it was approximately 2 years prior to her transformation that she had already set her mind.
