Question:

What is Berlin like in early to mid September?

Is it worth visiting?

Is there a lot to see and do there at this time?

What will the weather be like?

Will there be fun and vibrancy?

What kind of atmosphere does the city have?

If I go at this time, can I meet fellow young travellers?

  1. I just got back and I you can go anytime really and have a good time. I think in early September it will still be warm. I went with a study abroad group and of the cities we visited it was our least favorite. Maybe cuz we didn't have much free-time. Enjoy it though. If you ahve time the Jewish Museum there is really good!

  2. German, enough said.

  3. It's worth visiting any time of the year, and in September, temperatures tend to be still fairly summery (bring a raincoat just in case, though). There's lots of outdoor activities, many street cafés, beer gardens, outdoor cinema, those kinds of things. And unless you  go to the hip spots in the Mitte district, people are easygoing and approachable. I'd especialy recommend the Bergmannkiez area in Kreuzberg and Kastanienalle in Prenzlauer Berg. Enjoy your trip!

  4. There is so much to do -

I have been there -and I am not copying this info from a book or another web-site!!

#1. I would recommend first doing a free Berlin tour....They are fab and show you the main sites. (You don't spend a long time at each place - but at leats you know where it is if you want to go back after)

The guidea are funny and know the history of the area.

Here are a few links..they all have loads of tours at different times of the day..

You will find others as well in Berlin. You don't have to pay - just a tip if you want to -as they - the guides - do it free.

#2 Now you have seen most of the top places--

You have to see the Jewish Museum - it is amazing - it can't be done in a day - so choose which bits you want to see.

It is very interactive and informative - and called the no.1 museum in Berlin.

#3. Have a look at this site - as I said there is so much to do and see

#4. We did the Berlin Pub crawl - which was nice and got the chance to meet other people - people turned up by themselves or with others..

You get a free shots between crawls . I got tipsy - it was fun...

#5 - Go with the flow ... just go for a walk - that is what we did - you will find interesting things everywhere - it is best to walk around and stop and look at what appeals to you the most.

Some people love museums more, others shopping etc...

Have agreat time - it really will be difficult not to.

I live in Germany - and love Berlin!

BTW city trains are easy to use and safe - the quickest option to get around to different parts - if you don't want to walk.

Berliners are friendly and used to tourists - don't be scared to stop and ask for help.

  5. I'm going to Berlin in October and that will be 4 times in the great city of Germany, and there is plenty to do and see,September a great month to visit. You should have a lovely time in a country that's got lots of pride and very efficient .Yes i do love this city.Ich bien eine Berliner.!!!

  6. I'm from Germany and I've been in Berlin about 4 times.

I think it's one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. You can do very much there. There are many young people, who are very nice.

There are also many trees. It's the most green city in Germany. (I think I've heard or read that somewhere).

It's still warm there but you should take a raincoat with you. :-)
