I am not a fish person....I would always pick pizza.  But I do like Long John Silvers if I ever run into one.  They have very few of them in my neck of the woods.

well it really does depend on the type of fish or topping on the pizza. To mix things up what about fish and chips as a pizza topping, wouldn't that be interesting.

Anyway Fish and Chips rocks, but pizza cold is great for breakfast.

With a beer, pizza hands down.  After a night of too many beers?  Fish and Chips one hundred percent.  Need the oil and batter to soak up the alcohol.

its got too be cod and chips with onion vinager.....mushy peas and couple of buttered baps to make up some butties....with side portion of curry sauce pickled eggs and a few gerkins......hmmmmmmmmm and a savoly and pea fitter to put in one of the buttered rolls for later.......ive just made myself hungy and have got to go to the chippy now.....oh well bolloxs to the diet im off.......

Well I'm always deciding between these two meals on a saturday night and its a very hard choice! I prefer fish n chips if its from the chippy but I'd probably go for pizza...its just nice easy and comforting to eat !

So I live in a town that has a culturally WIDE selection of foods to choose from.  Its a university town so there are people from ALL over the world.  On a single street, you can find sushi raved about by a Japanese native I know personally, thai, chinese, MOROCAN, PAKISTANI, NEPALESE (lets say that again... NEPALESE).  They are all small, family owned, legit places that are within 1 or 2 blocks of on another and, again,that's just on a single street.

I haven't even mentioned the ethnic groceries and I won't any more....

That said, the pizza isn't pizza hut - that is c**p and the seafood isn't red lobster - that is also c**p.

If these kinds of places are your barometer, I feel bad you don't have higher quality stuff available to you.

Most places I like have MAYBE two locations.  The chains just ruin it

For seafood, there is a single place in town that I buy from (this place sells sushi grade fish in the midwest of all places - red lobster this is not).  You go in their looking for fresh lobster and they call them prawns (I've seen prawns in that place that have a lower count than a small Maine lobster).  They have fresh stuff but also do a fish fry daily.  The only thing they DON'T do is wrap it in newspaper.  Its awesome.

Next is pizza - same thing.  The small joints that aren't located in every major city are the way to go.  Yes, they deliver, no, you aren't paying an arm and a leg... just good pizza.

The local joint where I grew up used to make me sick only because I had it every Friday night as a kid.  On the other hand, its 2008 and this place only accepts cash - why?  because they don't have to do otherwise - think about it....  Now, I live 10 miles away and I drive that distance to get a pizza.  Same guy pulling pies out of the oven 25 years later.  In the past, I've driven over an hour one way on the interstate to get one of that man's pizzas.

Between the two, I can't pick.  I do however know quality when I taste it and regardless, I pick quality (pizza or fish and chips) over the alternative.  If its quality, I don't care what it is - good fish and chips or pizza hut?  Are you kidding me?  Good pizza or long john silver's?  Again, are you kidding me?

Pizza with lots of mozzarella, tomatoes, sweetcorn, peppers, pepperoni, sausage slices, bacon and finger-l*****g chicken slithers with garlic bread with lashings of sour cream and garlic sauce.  All this with a side serving of freshly-cooked cod in crispy batter and some good old British chips like you get at the seaside.  That'd do me.  Then bring out the sun.
