What is Breaking Dawn?

This book keeps popping up in B & A, and I've never heard of it. I'm worried I might be missing something really cool . . .

It's one of the books in the Twilight Saga. Don't read it unless you've read the prior books of the series. You may see the great hype about the book. It's just a fad. If you love reading teen vampire romance go for it otherwise I wouldn't suggest this book. This book only revolves around a non gripping plot. In my opinion, you're not at all missing a cool thing.

Breaking Dawn is the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. :) The books are very good, and I highly recommend them!

Book by Stepheny Meyer or something... Series of Twilight... Its the most recent book so every one is talking about it and what happens in it. About Vampires. All my friends love it I don't care much but...

A LOT of people like it (Because of Edward Cullen the top mentioned vampire from the series)

It's one of the books by the famous, JK Rowling competing author Stephenie Meyer. She's also wrote:

Twilight

New Moon

Eclipse

Midnight Sun (coming soon)

in the series, and Breaking Dawn was the long awaited for conclusion to the teenage vampire/love story saga. Stephenie has also written The Host, another book completely opposing the worldwide Twilight series, but also as great. Many people have very differnt oppinions on how the series should've ended, some people are mad at her, some people love it, so theres a big discussion about it. Borders had a Midnight party for the book, the night before it released (August 2nd). Twilight is/has been made into a movie, releasing November 21st.

I suggest you not read this book before reading Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse or you will get totally lost and will miss on a lot. Many fans say Twilight is the best book of the series.

You are missing something amazing. but before you read breaking dawn i suggest reading twilight then new moon then eclipse then breaking dawn or you  may be lost. just my preference though so ya you are missing something cool!!!!

Breaking Dawn is a teen romance novel by Stephenie Meyer. It is fourth in a four-part series called Twilight. The first three titles are:

1. Twilight

2. Eclipse

3. New Moon

Since the titles are a following story, you need to read the first three books in order to understand this one. Personally, it's not my type of series, but if you like vampires, fantasy and romance, you might enjoy it. :) I say give it a shot.

This is a series about about a girl called Bella Swan who moved to a little place called Forks in Washington

There she meet someone named Edward Cullen

He and his family are different from others

Bella later learned that he is a vampire and fell in love

I'm not going to carry on because if you decided to read it, I will spoil it

It's a really good Vampire/Human Romance book and very popular at the moment

It is written in Bella's Point Of View

There is a book coming out called Midnight Sun which is the same as Twilight but it will be written in Edward Cullen's Point Of View

And there is a film coming out in January based on the first book Twilight

Disregard "I want a grand piano"s answer.  She just has her panties in a twist because she is a self-proclaimed formerly OBSESSED Twilight Saga fan who was disappointed with Breaking Dawn and how it ended the series.

The Twilight Saga is good entertainment.  If you are looking for a book that is technically well written, don't read them, but if you are just looking to be entertained, read on!  Stephenie Meyer is a great storyteller (even if she isn't the greatest writer).

So, if you feel like delving into a four book series, I highly suggest this one.  If you decide not to however, you will be just fine.

And it's part of a crappy, less than mediocre series that you don't want to touch. Don't bother with it if you value quality in your books.

Edit: Excuse me, Rae, do you have some sort of grudge against me just because I don't like your favorite book series? Wow. Just... wow. I'm not afraid to admit being obsessed with the book series. So what if I grew out of it? So what if I don't like it anymore? I just realized that it's not as great as people make it out to be. Insane fans like you don't help, of course, it was the fanbase that made me realize how stupid I sounded when I was obessed.

Breaking Dawn isn't the only reason I don't like the series, but it's a big part of it. WHY do you have a problem with that?
