I really think that there are so many facets to what is going on in the economy and in the world as far as security is, that it is ignorant to blame either party exclusively. The democrats can only do so much to undermine the collapse of an economy that is being drained fighting against terrorism basically single handedly. I might say that that was a poor choice right there by Bush.

However, the dye is cast and I cannot believe that the leader of the free world would want to say, if asked, that he and his administration have played a role. He is blinded and has never taken responsibility for any of his mistakes. How many members of the Bush cabinet have been ousted or left because of the lies and deciet propagated by Bush and his "Yes- men"?

As Bush leaves office, he will be on top financially (as a former oil man prior to the presidency, his riches will be waiting for him as he again returns to his home in Texas as a civilian.

  1. Hopefully, he and the rest of his sociopathic buddies will be exposed and tried as the war criminals they are.

  2. He'll be mostly remembered as a foreign policy President especially since his domestic policies leave much to be desired.

  3. "I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office."—Washington, D.C., May 12, 2008  President George"The Decider" Bush.

  4. If you understand that Texas has a huge (and unfair) influence on which school textbooks are used, what is written in those books, and how that affects the books available to the rest of the country, then you will most likely believe the legacy of Bush will be distorted, historically speaking--especially considering Texas' love affair with the Bush's.

If you don't know what I mean, I suggest reading this:

http://www.texscience.org/files/textbook...  In a nutshell, it goes like this:  Texas is the largest market for textbooks, so publishers are enthusiastic to please the Texas Department of Education.  The Texas D.E. has enough "buying power" to persuade the publishers to rewrite history according to Texan (Conservative) standards and pretty much hold the publishers hostage until they do so.   As a result of Texas' tremendous buying power, the rest of the country is stuck with the same, biased, textbooks.

It's more complicated than that....but you get the gist.

EDIT to BILL:  you are correct...the congress does have to approve a declaration of war....but there WAS NO "declaration of war" with Iraq.  Bush just sort of did whatever he wanted to do.  (Granted, the congress did vote give him a free hand so they are guilty, too)

  5. Why are Dems so concerned about legacies and future history books when they do not even know the recent past or history at all? Bush will go down as a great president who freed 48 million people, took a stand against animals who kill innocent people and set the stage for America to retain it's place in the world as the one true super power.

Bill Clinton's legacy is that of Monica Lewisnski.

Jimmy Carters's legacy is that of gas lines, hostage crises, and double digit inflation and interest rates.

  6. may b not better than USAMA nd HITTLER

  7. Ok may i say one thing about the war in Iraq? I will anyway. THE DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS UNDER BUSH AT THE TIME HAD TO APPROVE THE DECLARATION OF WAR! Now we have the usual liberal flip flopping. But don't worry, Obama's bringing "change"(NOT!). Bush will be remembered as a great man in a difficult time.

  8. Depends on who writes them.

  9. How will he be written about? Later on, look up douchebag in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of his chimp-looking @$$.

  10. we have gone from a surplus to over 3 TRILLION in debt on bushes watch . he is the first pres in history to start a war yet not raise taxes to pay for it . in fact he lowered the capital gains and dividend taxes for his rich buddies . anyone with one semester of economics 101 could see he is an utter ignoramus * .

  11. A president who got America into war in Iran. He lied to the American people and the economy has never been worse in ten years.
