What is Cinema mode?

I get this mode on my Samsung HDTV. I get Off, Sports,Cinema, and Game mode. Is Cinema good? Its kind of darker, which setting should I set it on?

Those settings change your brightness, contrast, etc., for what Samsung believes are optimal for each type of programming you might be watching. Sports for example usually is set to make the greens of a field look their best.

Cinema changes/optimizes various colour settings for watching movies. I wouldn't say it's good or bad. It's really personal preference. For me, I put my TV in cinema mode when I'm watching movies.
