  1. This is the Detroit section and this question can only be answered by a Detroiter.

Coney Islands are Greek restaurants - two are especially famous and claim to invented the concept - American Coney Island and Lafayette Coney Island in 1917. They were once one restaurant owned by two brothers and then split. They are right next door to each other to this day.

A coney is a beef and pork hot dog, covered in all meat chili, diced onion, and yellow mustard. Ideally you eat them with coney fries and a Boston Cooler. ( A Boston Cooler is Vernor's ginger ale with vanilla ice cream. There is an area of Detroit called Boston-Edison and it is this Boston it is named after. http://www.historicbostonedison.org. Personally I prefer it with chocolate ice cream.)

  2. It is an amusement park.

  3. A cheap restaurant chain.

  4. It's an island near Punggol end.

  5. the best place ever!! A land of chili cheese fries! hot dogs with every topping possible! gyro Greek sandwiches! Bacon Cheese Burgers...ok I'm gettin hungry

  6. It's a restaurant chain in the metro Detroit area that offers diner type food. I believe it's a franchise, but am not sure. Popular Coney Island franchises in the area are Leo's, Nationals, and Greek Boys. Great little restaurant chain unique to the Detroit area!

  7. Coney Island is a peninsula, formerly an island, in southernmost Brooklyn, New York City, USA, with a beach on the Atlantic Ocean. The neighborhood of the same name is a community of 60,000 people in the western part of the peninsula, with Seagate to its west; Brighton Beach and Manhattan Beach to its east; and Gravesend to the north.

The area was a major resort and site of amusement parks that reached its peak in the early 20th century. It declined in popularity after World War II and endured years of neglect. In recent years, the area has been revitalized by the opening of KeySpan Park, home to the successful Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team.

  8. it is one of the culinary finds in Detroit.  Detroit and new york are the only places you can get coney's

few paces is national , and my personal fave Lafayette in downtown

  9. its similar to A&W if you know what that is, its like a place with hotdogs, coney dogs, hamburgers, chicken, like a normal restaurant, its pretty good.

  10. It's part of New York City. It's a peninsula, not an island, in the south part of Brooklyn. Back in the day it was a popular resort area. There are carnival rides there... it's kind of a tourist attraction.

  11. At one time it was an amusement park and my parents went there years ago.  It was supposed to be very nice, haven't been there myself, but heard it was revitalized.

  12. It is not a restaurant chain....The hot dog joints are simply named after the place Coney Island because of the hot dog history there (original Nathans etc).  It is a historic amusement area/beach with the world famous Cyclone.  I was just there a few weeks ago for the Mermaid Parade....boy was that a sh*t show!
