What is Costco's 2-year extended warranty on HDTV's?

I know they have a 90 day return policy, but what is the extended warranty. Is that costco, just buying you another year of warranty with the company of which brand you buy the tv of?

extended warranty means that if anything happens to the TV during the warranty period, they will fix it or replace it for free.
