What is Coventry airport like in the way of facilities?

Question

I have heard that it is very small and doesnt have a duty free that sells perfume and makeup. Is this true? Also,is there a range of cafes to choose from there?

Well, Coventry isn't a big city, so you wouldn't expect its airport to be huge. It isn't actually that far to Birmingham International- could you not fly from there?

Duty free doesn't exist anymore for travel within the EU- you only qualify if you're travelling out of the EU area

It doesn't look like it has many amenities.

Coventry Airport has been operating as a passenger terminal again since April 2004 when Thomsonfly.com commenced its low cost flight operation.

The current facilities are an interim arrangement and whilst we make every effort to ensure they are safe, secure and satisfactory, we do wish to provide a permanent and more suitable infrastructure for our passengers. There are detailed planning issues involved but we are committed to working together with the appropriate authorities to find a way forward to develop a new Coventry Airport terminal building for up to 2 million passengers per annum.

Although we were extremely disappointed by the outcome of the Public Local Inquiry, we are appealing and in the meantime we continue to move forward with developing other aspects of the airport, in particular the route network. We are therefore delighted to announce more flights by Wizz Air; from next March the airline will be operating services to Gdansk in northern Poland, complementing its existing flights to Katowice, the capital of south Poland.
