"Jacques Rogge is so bought, so compromised, the president of the IOC doesn’t have the courage to criticize China for telling a decade of lies to land itself these Olympic Games.
All the promises made to get these Games — on Tibet, Darfur, pollution, worker safety, freedom of expression, dissident rights — turned out to be phony, perhaps as phony as the Chinese gymnasts’ birthdates Rogge was way too scared to investigate."
~~Tibet/Darfur~~
What does this have to do with the IOC? Isn't this a job for Human Rights Activists idiots to spew their own propaganda of liberating these two but won't agree to Bush's plan to liberate Iraq? Hypocrites. About Darfur; didn't US arm Ethiopians to kill Somalians. Probably Joey Cheeks and Mia Farrow doesn't mind that at all.
~Freedom of expression/dissident's rights~
I don't think foreign activists should interfere with China's internal affairs...oh wait Western's foreign policy is interfere with China's internal affairs. I don't think China is interfering with the Hawaiians or the Puerto Ricans to declare independence from the US. Or Welsh or Ireland from the UK.
~Pollution~
Maybe I'm turning blind myself but didn't I read something different than what Wetzel has written:
Cycling and the first taste of the air:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/10/sports/olympics/10cycling.html
Gebrselassie regrets opting out of marathon

Women's Marathon and the air:
http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Bejing-Olympics-Low-Smog-Levels-Improve-Radcliffes-Olympic-Chances/Article/200808315080385
Hmm...I though China has promised the pollution problem very well and all has concurred but Wetzel hasn't.
~Underaged Chinese Gymnast~
Who told that weasel that IOC has anything to do with. Isn't the FIG's responsibility? Wetzel has failed again.
Finally what the whole enchilada of article ~Rogge's criticize Bolt's showboat~
If Bolt is representing US; France; GB; or any other powerhouse countries and he acted like that; I'm pretty sure that country that he is representing will be ashamed. But he is he's from Jamaica and he gets away with it.
