  1. Dubliners are friendly enough, but they aren't as warm as people in smaller towns like on the West Coast.

It's a city, and so it's more hectic with traffic and everything else there, and so it's not really as welcoming to tourists.

If you're into music (I am) it has a pretty awesome music scene.

The food there is okay. I'm a vegetarian, and I didn't have any problems there.

Word of warning: don't drive in the city. The streets are narrow and the signs are confusing. The one time in my whole life my mom has ever said a swear word was in Dublin traffic!!!!!

    : )

Go to www.tripadvisor.com and check the Dublin forum for more tips. Rick Steves Graffitti Wall also has cool feedback.

    Have a blast.

  2. Dublin is one of the friendliest cities on the planet and certainly the most welcoming to visitors. Food varies but try The Clarence Hotel's Tea Rooms (owned by U2's Bono and The Edge). Tip re eating, many restaurants offer set-menu lunch specials. Dublin can be expensive to eat, so why not fill up at lunch and just have a snack at nighttime. This should help save a few Euro. Have a great time.
