What is Duraslate?

This is for a pool table, but I cannot find out what duraslate is.

I've never heard of Duraslate in regards to pool tables.  However, there is imitation slate on the market for pool tables with names like "Slatron".  In any case, DO NOT waste your money on anything but genuine slate.  There is absolutely no substitute.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

I believe Dura Slate is the brand name of a type of architectural roof building material. So, it is quite possible this material is also used for building pool tables.

Very fragile slate has been used in roofing and ornaments as well. Breaks easy.

I believe dura slate is many particles of wood mixed with glue

and other chems. I have recovered one  table that has dura slate.

NOT IMPRESSED. Save your money and get the real thing.

The best slate is manufactured in Italy. Hope this helps.
