Dyslexia is a learning disability.  Difficulty with reading and spelling. It can be caused by many reasons, such as deficiencies in intelligence, a non-neurological deficiency with vision/hearing, or from inadequate reading instruction. Dyslexia results from differences in how the brain processes written or verbal language. It is the result of a neurological difference but it is not an intellectual disability.
