My Dad is from Guayaquil, Ecuador so I've been there several times, The coast of Ecuador, (Guayas province) (Montanita) is known for its waves. It's a good surfing spot. At night there are bonfires and parties on the beach. The food is good- ceviche, caldo, chicha, horchata..... patacones...
