  1. A "pupitre" is a desk, but that of a student and not of an office.

    "Pongan" comes from the verb "poner". It means "They put", but "pongan" is in the subjunctive form.

  2. El pupitre is the desk and pongan is the subjunctive of poner which means to put, you use the subjunctive in certain special situations.  Pongan could mean they put or you all put depending on the context.

  3. Pupitre is a desk, and pongan is they put (from the verb pongar)

  4. el pupitre...

    the desk...

    like the one in schools...

    pongan...

    put...

    like put something...

    but in plural form...

  5. Pongan = Put

    El Pupitre = ??????

  6. el pupitre = the desk

    example: he sits at the desk. el se sienta en el pupitre.

    pongan = put

    example: put the cherry on top = pongan la cereza encima.

    this is not plural for the things but rather for the people doing it...pongan means that many people are doing it.
