What is Estepona like? & the beaches? I've never been and Im thinking of going there on holiday - help!?

if you know of anywhere in spain which has really nice beaches and beautiful scenery please let me know!

Estepona...? Well, to tell you the truth, and I know this is hard to accept, it's just one of many, many towns and villages along the Costa del sol. Or, how some call it: Costa del concrete... You must know that the Costa del Sol has been systematically built, overbuilt and at the end destroyed by the Spaniards since the 60s of the last century. Many Brits seem to like it anyway, most probably because of the relatively cheap alcohol prices - and of course because of the sunshine which is almost guaranteed there if you don't go too early in the year (vaccation season is the same as anywhere in Europe: June - September). There are sure some nice beaches left in the region, I suggest you try those in Tarifa (approx. some 60 kms further to the South, passing Gib, by the way). Tourism is mainly in windsurfers' and skatesurfers' hands there, hostels and mid-class-hotels are plenty to find.
