I have a e-machines H5088 with 2GB of RAM running on Windows Vista Home Basic SP1. After doing a disk defragmation I accessed the task manager and then went into resource monitor. once I clicked on the resource monitor the message came up. I did the same procedure again after restarting the computer but I did not defragment the drive any more. This time no message came up? can any one help.

  1. Might be what's happening in the attached link.  Might not.  Ain't Windows grand?  Did you add a new disk recently?
