FOR or FOB (Free on Board, Free on Rail) are shipping terms meaning when title (or ownership) of the goods passes from the seller to the buyer and can also specify who pays the freight charges.  Example: "FOR shipping point, freight prepaid and added to the invoice" means buyer owns goods during transit, seller pays the freight bill and adds the freight cost to his invoice, hence seller passes the freight costs along to the buyer.

    The FOR price does not include the CENVAT (value added tax).  CENVAT is calculated and added after any applicable freight charges and/or duty charges have been added to the sellers invoice.
